Anna Wintour's 73 Question Challenge: Fears Spiders, Can't Sing, and Has No Regrets
Blake Lively, Sarah Jessica Parker, Olivia Munn, and Daniel Radcliffe have all taken Vogue’s 73 Questions challenge and now Anna Wintour, the editor in chief of the publication, has turned the camera on herself. While the artistic director at Condé Nast might exude a cool demeanor yet always perfectly put together public persona, she candidly reveals what’s hiding underneath those signature dark sunglasses and immaculately-styled bob — turns out, her hair is full of secrets.
The video, which gives viewers an inside look at the inner sanctum of Vogue’s office, includes appearances from the magazine’s staff members (Wintour says the best part of her job is the people), model Karlie Kloss (who appears on the cover of the September issue), and a phone call and very special delivery from designer Oscar de la Renta (“Anna, I want to know what is your favorite type of flower?”). And because it’s New York Fashion Week, Wintour teases an update on the latest trends to look out for. Leather or Lace? Lace. Velvet or fur? Fur. Vintage or new? New. Polka dots or stripes? Both. Also, James Corden, her favorite (favourite?) comedian is an up-and-comer to keep your eye on and Brooklyn is the new Silicone Valley.
While some answers are surprising — she doesn’t drink alcohol, can’t sing, and is scared of spiders — the most revealing fact is this: When asked what the U.K.-born editirix misses most about England, she answers with a smile, “a sense of humor.” There’s no doubt she definitely has one.
Speaking of James Corden, catch him in “One Chance.” The movie about “Britain’s Got Talent” winner Paul Potts that will launch on Yahoo on Sept. 30. Check out the trailer below:
