As If Anna Wintour Would Take Her Shades Off at the Oscars!

Anna Wintour wears her sunglasses front row at every fashion show, so why would she take them off for the Academy Awards? Vogue's editor in chief made her way to Los Angeles on Friday, after New York Fashion Week wrapped up, to celebrate Tom Ford’s FW 2015 collection. And then she stuck around for the Oscars, because why not?

The editrix wore a pale pink gown and fur shrug, and she brought her daughter, Bee Shaffer, who wore Dolce & Gabbana. The two sat next to producer Harvey Weinstein and his designer wife Georgina Chapman. And while Anna took her shades off to walk the red carpet—where Rita Ora literally bowed down—she popped them back on for the ceremony. In 2009, she told 60 Minutes, “They are seriously useful. I can sit in a show and if I am bored out of my mind, nobody will notice… At this point, they have become, really, armor.”

Now Anna Wintour and Jack Nicholson have something in common.
