Banana Republic Is Cool Again - And This Is Why You Need To Shop There
A look from Banana Republic Spring-Summer 2015
“This was my first season, so it wasn’t just about looking at this collection, but also the brand as a whole,” said Banana Republic’s new creative director Marissa Webb yesterday. “We are taking details that are part of the heritage and pushing it forward.”
Webb’s debut collection was inspired in part by the open road, and she enhanced this notion by affixing a GoPro camera to her fedora. “There are no limitations,” she said. True to her word, she featured easy-to-wear separates such as leather and graphic tees, slouchy tie-front shorts and paperbag skirts, and lots of denim (some of it in the form of chambray boyfriend shirts and blazers). Whether she’s heading to the beach or the country, the Banana Republic girl is all set for summer.
