Beautiful Latina BFFs Take Each Other to Prom and the Internet Loves It

Two best friends took each other to prom, and their empowering photos are a hit online.

“I went to prom with my best friend last week + we looked amazing,” a teen named Charlie tweeting under the username @wokemom wrote on Monday, adding several photos of the pair posing with their hands on their hips and back-to-back with their arms folded.

There’s so much to love about the photos: Charlie, who calls herself a “Chicanx activist” and a “Glamazon” on her Twitter bio, is wearing an off-the-shoulder dress with a black bodice and a full-length, colorful skirt. She accessorized with oversize hoop earrings and gold heels. Her best friend (whose name isn’t known) is wearing a gold-and-black dress with black shoes.

The girls also have badass facial expressions and appear proud to be each other’s dates.

The photos of the besties have been retweeted and liked thousands of times on Twitter. “I’m so here for these hoops and hair, definitely slayed this look,” wrote one person on Twitter. Another wrote, “I’m living for your dress.”

Charlie did not return Yahoo Style’s request for comment; however, so many demanded to know where she purchased her dress that she tweeted, “I got it at my local swap meet!” and then tweeted, “Thank you so much. I love my culture.”
