Beyonce does all black everything — The superstar showed off her killer layering skills on Thursday night. We can spot at least four pieces of clothing on her top half alone (not including the belt). The trick to pulling this off in real life? Mix a variety of textures in one color palette.

Cate Blanchett’s Classic Silhouette in Givenchy — Blanchett paired a white top with a black ruffled skirt to the Berlin Film Festival. The striped belt and strappy sandals kept it from looking too office-ready.

Over her laced-up black jeans, she wore a sparkling knit sweater, a belted black sleeveless coat-dress, and then one last layer: a studded floor-length coat tossed over her shoulders. Bey is finally dressing like the superhero we all know she is. The only question is—are those pants or boots?
