Cate Blanchett Is the Queen of the One-Liners at the Armani Party

“Should I stand by this olive tree? Would you like some cold pressed olive oil when I’m done?” joked Cate Blanchett as she posed for her umpteenth photo of the evening (including many a generous selfie) at the Armani boutique in Beverly Hills on Saturday night. The Oscar-winning actress, wearing a purple custom-made dress by Giorgio Armani, was there to cohost a little pre-Academy Awards soiree and was doling out zingers while standing on the tree-lined terrace. When the photographer moved her closer to a heat lamp, she joked that her tousled blonde mane “might catch on fire” before remarking, “am I giving you photo face?” Who knew that Blanchett, one of the foremost thespians of our time, is also the queen of the one-liners? Is there nothing that she can’t do?
