Chrissy Teigen Wore St. John Because Anna Wintour Said So
Whenever Chrissy Teigen steps onto a red carpet — or outside, for that matter — she turns heads. And the Met Gala on Monday was no exception. She attended the event in a long-sleeved black sequin gown with her husband, John Legend, who was in a white tie tux from Gucci. Her dress was designed by St. John, an unlikely combination but one that seemed to work. “Anna OK’ed it,” the Sports Illustrated model admitted. “Whatever Anna wants, I’m happy!”

The gown didn’t make many references to the “China: Through the Looking Glass” theme, but with red flowers in her hair, she seemed to make a nod. The couple have, in fact, visited China together before. When Legend was on tour, he performed at an arena in Beijing he went with his wife to visit the Great Wall and they even ate some great food (dim sum’s their fave. “Chinese food is not what you think,” Teigen said. “It’s more adventurous than what we have here,” Legend added.
