Did T-Pain Just Announce That Robert Pattinson & FKA Twigs Are Engaged?
T-Pain, the rapper best known for commodifying the word drink into drank, has reclaimed his relevancy by exposing the fact that FKA Twigs and Robert Pattinson are engaged.
In an interview with Vulture.com, the artist revealed that the British singer is currently one of his favorite artists. When asked if she would collaborate with the autotune-lover on his forthcoming new music, he said that the first time they met was in the recording studio. “Her music’s changed a lot since then,” he said. “But she’s on tour so much, and anytime I call her, she’s in a different place. And she’s engaged now, so that’s about to be a whole other thing.”
Wait, what (?!) … is the same reaction the interviewer had to the volunteered bit of information. “Yeah, to ol’ Patty [Robert Pattinson]. I don’t know if she wanted anybody to know that …”
Maybe not, considering the “Water Me” artist hasn’t been spotted wearing a sparkler and also hasn’t yelled the happy news from the rooftops (and everyone know she’s got good lungs). Her alleged betrothed has also been mum, busy brooding and crafting his hipster emo image.
The 28-year-old Twilight star and 27-year-old partner reportedly exchanged promise rings recently. “He wants to marry her,” a source told People in early March. Rob is “much more calm and happy than before” and adds that the pair are “crazy in love” and “inseparable when they are together.”
If this “source” is to be believed — and T-Pain taken at his word — it seems like congratulations might be in order! Sorry, Twihards. And Kristen Stewart.
