Eva Longoria Is Designing Wine-Themed T-Shirts
Dressing like a Desperate Housewife, Devious Maid, or telenovela star just got a whole lot easier with a line of clothing from Eva Longoria.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, the actress’s first collection for the Limited is set to appear on Aug. 15, available in 250 stores across the U.S. and online.
In an interview, Longoria said that she has always had an eye for style, and it has always been a dream for her to produce her own clothing. “I learned to sew as a kid. All I wanted for Christmas was a Singer,” she said. At first, she could sew only straight lines, so she made pillows, curtains, and duvets. “That’s why I started my J.C. Penney home line. But if it had a sleeve or arm or leg, I was like, ‘No.’” But as Longoria grew up, she eventually learned how to cut a bias after practicing on fabric and patterns that she bought on sale at Jo-Ann Fabrics.
