Exactly How Selena Gomez Got In Shape for Her 'Revival' Tour
Selena Gomez just kicked off her Revival tour and unveiled a wardrobe full of bodysuits. To prep her body not only for the revealing clothes but also to build up stamina for hours of performing, the 23-year-old says in a recent interview she buckled down about a month and a half ago.
"I've never really had a personal trainer, but I started working with Amy [Rosoff Davis] last year. She's incredible. I met her at Ballet Bodies in L.A., and we have a really fun friendship," Selena says. "At the moment, I'm training every day to build my stamina up for the tour. But don't get me wrong-it was not like this before the tour."
As for her workout plan, Selena explains that once tour rehearsals started, she was doing Pilates, SoulCycle, and "every form of yoga." "Basically, I wanted to mix things up because I get bored easily. I just try to keep it fresh," she says. "I love how Pilates makes me feel, like it opens me up." She admits she has difficulty breathing and enjoys the practice "because it's peaceful and it helps me relax. And I'm doing two shows back to back, and that's cardio in itself."
Selena is also big on hydration. "I always have water, tons of water. It's even in my bathroom because I used to be so bad at drinking water and I want to stay hydrated," she says. She also has a juicer and shared her go-to recipe: "I do two carrots, ginger, I do one piece of celery-I know, that's lame, but one-and then half of a beet. Those are the things I always keep around."
Well, this plan is definitely working:
