Gigi Hadid Will Walk in This Year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Back in January, Real Housewives star Yolanda Foster told Glamour that her It-model daughter, Gigi Hadid, had been rejected from the 2014 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show lineup after trying out. “She was sad,” Foster revealed. “She was boxing at Gotham gym every day and in great shape, and it seemed like a perfect fit. But you know what? It ended up not to be.”

But, as you’re likely aware, 2015 has pretty much been the year of Hadid, 20. The fashion A-lister landed her first VS Pink campaign this past summer, and now, she’s been cast to walk in the lingerie giant’s upcoming runway extravaganza, filming the second week of November.

Thursday, Victoria’s Secret shared a video on its Instagram of Hadid strutting in her undies for the VS casting directors—and looking like a total natural, bouncy walk, hands-on-hips, kissy face and all.

“What are you doing on November 9th and 10th?” senior creative Ed Razek asks Hadid in the clip.

“I don’t know?!” she laughs, getting all giddy (and still in said undies).

“Why don’t you come join us?” Razek says, at which point, Hadid shrieks and falls to the floor in gratitude.

We ?? surprises so here’s a BIG one for @GiGiHadid at the #VSFashionShow castings! See you on the runway, Gigi ?? pic.twitter.com/DWZbecUIfn

Hadid confirmed the news on her own Instagram, writing, “Couldn’t keep back my tears!!!! Anyone that grew up with me knows that getting this show has been a dream of mine forever! THANK YOU @victoriassecret &@ed_razek! One of the happiest moments of my life.”

Of course, what she doesn’t seem to realize is that Razek was asking about her availability because he needs her to help work the Victoria’s Secret sales floor, since all the regular employees will be out watching the fashion show.

Kidding! Congrats, Gigi—we can’t wait to see you in wings.
