When designer Alessandro Michele was appointed creative director of Gucci, the fashion world was a bit surprised by a virtual unknown taking over a multibillion dollar company. Now the fashion world is asking: Where have you been Mr Michele? Gucci’s Spring/ Summer 2016 collection was another inspired triumph of beautiful craftsmanship, luxurious materials and a treasure trove of influences.
