Gwyneth Paltrow Goes Makeup-Free

Gwyneth Paltrow is calling her celeb friends and Instagram followers to action. On Monday night, the actress shared a before-and-after pic while getting ready to grace the red carpet.

On the left, the GOOP founder posted a makeup-free selfie that showed off the 42-year-old’s clear skin, but also the requisite lines that come with aging. On the right is the star’s beauty transformation. With dark eye makeup, including metallic eyeshadow and black eyeliner on both lids, her blue peepers really pop. Paltrow’s lips shimmer with a pink, frosty gloss and with just the slightest turn of her head, her cheekbones become more pronounced. The woman knows how to work her angles!

There’s more to Paltrow’s revealing images. The Instagram post was captioned, “day-to-night. I nominate @amandadecadenet to share her most glamorous transformation. #GlamJan #sp @maxfactor.” Earlier this week, the cosmetics company Max Factor announced that they’re starting a new social media campaign, using the hashtag #GlamJan, to encourage women around the world to overhaul their looks during the time of year that many are seeking to reinvent or reimagine their appearances. Candice Swanepoel and Coco Rocha have already shared their before and after photos. Paltrow’s challenge was issued to TV host, writer, photographer, and Yahoo Style contributor Amanda de Cadenet. We can’t wait to see what she comes up with because while #GlamJan is no #IceBucketChallenge, it certainly is refreshing (and relieving!) to see what it takes to turn even the most high-powered Hollywood woman into a glamazon.
