Halsey Wore a Jacket Without a Shirt at the Grammys
There are quite a few of your favorite ’90s artists at the Grammy Awards this year (what up, Blink-182, Korn, and Radiohead?), but that wasn’t enough for Halsey, who decided to express the decade in her outfit.
The singer hit the red carpet in a pair of baggy, silky blue pants and a matching collared shirt, which she wore open with nothing underneath, save for a sparkly body chain (and probably lots of double-sided tape). Her cropped blond cut and flowy ensemble immediately reminded us of TLC’s T-Boz in the “Creep” music video.
Halsey confirmed on the red carpet that her look was inspired by the girl group, adding that she simply didn’t feel like wearing a dress.
Seems there’s a bit of that going around this awards season. Evan Rachel Wood turned out to the Golden Globes a few weeks ago in a custom Altuzarra tuxedo, saying she wanted to show women that they didn’t need to wear dresses on the red carpet to look amazing.
We’d wager that Halsey agrees.
