Interviewing Alessandra Ambrosio 50,000 Feet in the Air

Ever wondered what it’s like to fly on a private jet with all of the Victoria’s Secret models? Do the girls really fly with you or is it just a photo op? Will there be food? Are there pillow fights? Is this where every hot-blooded guy wants to be right now? Let me tell you…. It is all that and more! First of all, angels do eat and they eat real food. Ming Xi told me she had chocolates on the flight and all the omelets ran out! Hair and make up are stationed in the corner to give the models some touch ups before they face the paparazzi abroad. The stunners all take turns being interviewed. And they are so nice and gracious that they even pose for photos! On this flight to London, there may be more bodyguards than usual and food is more delicious than just a dry muffin. A girl could get used to Angel Class!
I got up close and personal for some girl talk with my flight buddy Alessandra Ambrosio to talk about the big Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show taking place tomorrow, December 2 in London. Instagram, angel wings, and the U.K. capital are just a few topics that we covered.
Yahoo Style: Is this the sexiest flight in the world?
Alessandra Ambrosio: Definitely! It doesn’t get sexier than this! We all want to get some rest and there is such excitement on the flight. We are all going to London, we all get to fly together, and we all get to spend time together. We are all so busy and have crazy busy schedule traveling all over the world so to get all the angels on one flight is amazing!
I was a little anxious yesterday when I was packing because I was thinking about the outfits, for the after party, the outfit I am going to be wearing to go there and packing them all up. Thinking about it all made me a little anxious but right now, I am chill. I am sure I will get nervous again on the day of, but it’s all good. It’s a nice feeling that this is happening again!
YS: Any sneak peeks regarding the show that you can share?
AA: It’s the first time that it is outside of the USA. London is a super fashion and fun city to be in. A lot of people that I know want to come because it’s in London so they can see the sights and then go to the show! I am hoping to be able to stay an extra day so I can go get dinner, do some sightseeing and try to enjoy it a little bit. And go to the kids’ stores to get some toys!
The best part of being an angel is we get to do this amazing show, its so desirable and we get to wear the most amazing wings and we get to get altogether to hang out. And VS treats us like princess so I am very blessed to be here!
YS: How do you deal with the wings?
AA: Sometimes they get lighter. I had a very heavy pair three years ago and now these are pretty light.
YS: Who are you excited to see peform?
AA: I am excited to see Hozier, Taylor Swift was there last year and she was amazing so I am sure she is going to put on a great show. I always listen to Hozier’s songs on the radio so I am excited to hear him live. And I am excited for the after party which is black tie and it’s the first time they are doing it at the same space and it’s a little more glamorous and it will be incredible!
YS: How do you curate your amazing instagram?
AA: I try to get moments that I care about and there are intimate moments that I put up there, too, but that’s what social media is about. If you don’t show those small intimate moments then there is no reason for it. Then you are just selling a product, who wants it? It’s more fun to show people a little of your life and what matters to you. We have tons of fun and it’s nice to be able to show people that side and it. It reminds them why they follow you in the first place. Mums can relate to some of the things I put up on my kids and sometimes if I have time, I will try to answer to some of the comments.
YS: Advice to anyone who wants to do what you are doing?
AA: You’ve got to believe in your dreams and work for it. Believing won’t do much, you have to work at it to make your dreams come true.
