Earlier this month, Page Six reported that Kendall Jenner would be the new face of Calvin Klein, hot on the heels, um, abs, of Justin Bieber. And as of Thursday, the brand confirmed that it’s true!

“Modeling for Calvin Klein Jeans is really a dream come true,” Jenner said in a statement. “I’ve grown up wearing the brand and seeing the iconic advertising in magazines and on billboards featuring some of the world’s top supermodels. To now be a part of that legacy is truly an honor.”

On late Wednesday night, the brand took to Instagram to post the same picture that Jenner teased out nearly four months ago and captioned the photo: “Keeping it Calvin. Watch for the reveal of the new face of our #mycalvins Denim Series.”

It’s Jenner’s world, and we’re just living in it. After her debut season last year, she scored an Estee Lauder contract. The brand’s president admitted the move was hugely based on Jenner being “the ultimate instagirl” with “extraordinary social media power.” Her high-fashion momentum continues—she’s walked everything from Oscar de la Renta to Chanel this season, and it makes sense for Calvin Klein to capitalize on the same strengths, especially after they did so so successfully with Justin Bieber in January.

“Kendall is a modern beauty who brings her youthful spirit and edge to this special Calvin Klein Jeans campaign,” Melisa Goldie, Chief Marketing Officer of Calvin Klein, said in a statement. “Kendall’s powerful fan base and global reach will further amplify the current cultural conversation surrounding the Calvin Klein Jeans brand and highlight this exciting limited edition.”

A near-nude Bieber helped the brand gain more than 3.5 million Twitter followers, not to mention all the millennial attention one could want. Jenner yields the same kind of social power, and reaches that coveted demographic. So releasing the Jenner campaign is a no brainer. Like Bieber did leading up to his oh-so-controversial bulge-bearing debut, the 19-year-old model posted Instagram pics months ago wearing Calvin Klein’s famous cotton undergarments. And while a side-by-side #mycalvins campaign shot of Bieber and Jenner in Calvin Klein skivvies would’ve thrown the world into a tizzy, Jenner alone will do.

To be a Calvin Klein girl means so much more than scoring a killer contract—it’s joining the ranks of legendary women like Kate Moss, Christy Turlington, and Brooke Shields.

The line will exclusively debut at Opening Ceremony on April 15th in their New York and Los Angeles stores, as well as online at openingceremony.us. The pieces will be available at calvinklein.com on May 15th.
