Ivanka Trump Goes With Oscar de la Renta for Inauguration Events
Ivanka Trump is all about Oscar de la Renta.
On Inauguration Day, the first daughter wore white trousers with an asymmetrical coat from the brand. Her hair was swept to the side with loose curls.
The day before, she stepped out wearing an emerald green dress and matching coat. A spokesperson for the brand tells Yahoo Style that “Ivanka is a longtime customer of the house.”

Trump again stepped out in Oscar de la Renta for Thursday night’s candlelight dinner at Union Station — this time in a long white gown with a striking black ribbon sash at the back — a classic Oscar de la Renta touch.

Oscar de la Renta is a longtime, bipartisan favorite designer among former first ladies including Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton.

While social media and style sites have commented that Ivanka outshined Melania Trump on Thursday, style-wise, Ivanka has stated that the only first lady is Melania. Ever since the news broke that Melania would remain in New York City, while her son, Barron, finished the school year, rumors have swirled that Ivanka would take on the role of first lady. On Thursday, she called them “an inappropriate observation,” telling ABC’s “20/20” that “there is one first lady, and she’ll do remarkable things.”
But one can’t help but notice that Ivanka’s choice in designers speaks volumes.
