Jamie Dornan's Wife Amelia Warner Steals the Spotlight at "50 Shades of Grey" Premieres

50 Shades of Grey might be all about Jamie Dornan, but the premiere circuit’s all about his wife as far as we’re concerned. At Wednesday night’s Berlin Film Festival showing, 32-year-old Amelia Warner stole the spotlight in a red hot jumpsuit well-suited to the film’s Valentine’s Day premiere. Warner paired her Temperley look with strappy blue sandals and a matching scarlet lip.

On Thursday night, Warner upstaged everyone one more time, in a sophisticated red and blue jacquard sheath. Because it’s freezing in London, she did toss a navy blue and black evening coat over her shoulders. Her textured pixie cut and burgundy lip gave her a more rock and roll than young mom look—one well suited to her past.
Warner, who caught fashion’s attention at the Golden Globes in an eggshell mid-length dress with a feather hem by designer Huishan Zhang that earned her a best-dressed nod, was once “spiritually” married to Colin Farrell. A sometimes musician, you might have seen the actress in Quills, or Mansfield Park. She told The Telegraph she quit acting because, “It wasn’t fulfilling. You have no control, there is no responsibility, you go to the audition, and you either get the part or you don’t – that’s as much choice as you have.” In 2013, she gave birth to Dornan’s first child.

Whether or not she’s meant to, Warner’s risky fashion choices have upstaged her husband’s co-star, Dakota Johnson, and the director of 50 Shades, Sam Taylor-Johnson.

Johnson, who plays opposite Warner’s husband as Anastasia Steele, wore a long-sleeve black Dior dress with side button detailing and a thigh-high slit. Taylor-Johnson, meanwhile, chose a similarly cut dress from Stella McCartney. Instead of showing skin in the front, the film’s director had a large cut out in the back.

Dornan’s said that his wife won’t be watching him have sex in a dungeon with someone else, but it’s safe to say she’s the winner here.
