John Galliano Utilizes Burlap and Plastic Wrap For His First Couture Show in Paris Since 2011
When John Galliano showed his first haute couture collection as Artistic Director of Maison Martin Margiela last January, he chose to make his debut in London. (At the time the sting of showing in Paris was still a bit too raw following his uncermonious exit from Dior in 2011.) Since then he has gone on to design two other collections, both well received, and on Wednesday he rejoined the haute couturiers in Paris to stage an inventive collection that included burlap sacks, PVC skirts, and an extravagant wedding dress that was partially covered in plastic wrap. Here are our favorite looks.
