Johnny Depp’s a Dior Model Now

Don’t call it a mid-life crisis: At 51, Johnny Depp’s trying something new.
For Dior’s forthcoming men’s scent, the famed French fashion house has tapped the actor to be its face and front his first ever fragrance campaign.
The specifics regarding the new cologne from Christian Dior Parfums has yet-to-be-revealed, but François Demachy, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton’s own in-house perfume creator is behind it.
Depp, who recently married Amber Heard (and also notably almost got arrested in Australia for smuggling his two dogs into the country on his private jet), joins Natalie Portman, Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lawrence, Marion Cotillard, and Rihanna as celebrity spokespeople for the brand.

Before Depp, Dior featured Jude Law and Robert Pattinson in its ads, so the “Pirates of the Carribbean” star has a lot to live up to — just look at those brooding faces!
