Kate Middleton Attended Her Sister's Secret Bachelorette Party at a Ski Resort
Ahead of her wedding in May, Pippa Middleton is preparing like most other brides: celebrating with a bachelorette party. But when your sister’s a princess, the games and activities certainly can’t be endlessly documented on social media. So Pippa secretly flew the Duchess of Cambridge and a few other friends to a French ski resort a few weeks ago.
“Pippa loves skiing so it was her first choice for a hen weekend,” a friend told The Sun. “They stayed in a really exclusive catered chalet with maids and a chef who ensured that they were totally spoilt.”
The source also revealed that the hen party (otherwise known as a bachelorette party stateside) was “showered with gifts” including “Swatch watches, Ugg slippers, leather-bound notebooks and bespoke fragrances.”
Meanwhile, Prince William was in a club in Verbier, Switzerland on the same weekend. The future king was spotted dad dancing with friends in a series of videos.
According to a source, the Duke of Cambridge drank heavily on his getaway. “Apparently the girls on Pippa’s hen were giggling as Kate told them that William had had to be escorted down from the mountain for being too drunk.”
Pippa’s wedding will take place on May 20 in Englefield, Berkshire followed by a reception at the Middleton family home nearby. Dramatic designer Giles Deacon will reportedly be the man behind her wedding dress.
