Kendall Jenner Gets Into the '50 Shades of Grey' Spirit for 'Allure'

Kendall Jenner’s been everywhere lately—on couture runways, walking red carpets, in the pages of LOVE magazine. The one place she hasn’t popped up? On a magazine cover. Not since September of last year, when she posed for Teen Vogue, has Jenner scored a solo cover of an American magazine. Now, after nearly two explosive years in fashion, she’s landed the March cover of Allure.
Mario Testino shot the sultry images, including the cover on which the former reality TV star shows off a new look: curly hair, kohl-rimmed eyes. Inside, Kendall poses in a series of swimsuits with a monkey. (One BDSM look by Agent Provocateur is right on trend with this month’s (this year’s?) biggest movie release.) But it’s her refreshing honesty in the accompanying interview that should garner the most attention. Jenner tells Allure: ”As selfish as this sounds, I wanted the attention to be on me for five seconds rather than my family. If they were sitting front row, it would have been all about, ‘Oh, Kim goes to Kendall’s first fashion show!’ I love Kim, but for a minute I wanted it to be like, ‘OK, this is [Kendall’s] thing—and she’s taking it seriously.’”
Jenner’s lack of tattoos, however, is almost entirely thanks to Kim. “My sister Kim always said, ‘Don’t put a bumper sticker on a Bentley.’” For more pearls of Kardashian/Jenner wisdom, pick up Allure’s March issue. We told you it’d be impossible to find a magazine without them this month.
