#LFW: Christopher Kane Bares All

A fashion industry favorite, Christopher Kane’s collections are always directional. This season was no different, with dresses made of Swiss lace, that upon closer inspection, were actually made in the shape of nude illustrations –which came from live drawing classes the designer put on at his studio. While there were more conservative velvet suits and silk dresses embellished with disco-style lightning bolts, a subtle sexual current ran through the collection. In the background, Andrea True’s disco anthem “More, More, More" played on the soundtrack, a perfect meld of the slight ’70s vibe which has become such a trend this season, and the "notion of desire," that Kane was after. Although some pieces are slightly explicit, there is something quite romantic about it all. Wear if you dare.
