Megyn Kelly Will Wear a Spaghetti Strap Dress if She Wants To

At the Republican National Convention in July, Megyn Kelly wore a black dress with spaghetti straps that showed off her shoulders. Viewers of her Fox News coverage and Internet users were scandalized, calling the host a whore, unprofessional, inappropriate, and more.

Yet, as the Settle for More author explained in a New York Times profile titled “No One Tells Megyn Kelly What to Wear,” she will dress how she wants — and not care what the critics think.

“It was a lovely dress,” she said. “A convention is a kind of free-form extravaganza, and there are certain settings where you can take risks. So I just thought: ‘Yes, I can do this. I can be smart and challenging while I wear spaghetti straps, and everyone is just going to have to get their heads around that.’”

In fact, she so passionately believes in the freedom of fashion, that she wore the LBD again. “I felt very strongly, I was not going to be defined by what someone else deemed appropriate.”
