Melania and Ivanka Trump Wear Symbolic Color to Third Debate, Says Social Media
Was the third presidential debate on Wednesday, Oct. 19 more like a cocktail party or a funeral?
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump wore a dark suit and a red tie for his final showdown against his Democratic challenger, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who herself wore a white mandarin-collar suit.
But, according to social media, Trump’s family didn’t look like they were dressing for victory.
Daughter Ivanka, wife Melania, and daughter-in-law Vanessa Trump all showed up to watch the third debate at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in black. Indeed, some on Twitter thought that it seemed like the Trump family seemed…to be in deep mourning.
Ivanka and Melania are wearing black, I think they've already started mourning #DumpTrump #Debate

Melania Trump, interestingly, appeared to be wearing a pussybow-style, a jumpsuit from Ralph Lauren, for the second debate in a row — and for 100 percent of the debates held after the release of the 2005 Access Hollywood tape in which her husband is heard bragging to Billy Bush about groping women down there.
Ivanka Trump, perhaps her father’s best surrogate on the campaign trail, wore a one-shoulder black cocktail dress, perhaps a subtle signal of having one foot in and one foot out as she tries to position her brand and business for continued success, regardless of what happens to her father’s campaign.
While we would never argue against black being a classic and chic way of dress for any occasion, there was something a little bit startling about seeing the Trump family dressed in such a funereal manner. Maybe they’ve seen the latest polls?
