Melania Trump Wears Incredible $51,500 Floral Jacket for Final Day Abroad
Melania Trump is closing out her first international tour with the president on a high note. She spent one of her final days abroad at the G7 Summit in Italy wearing a knockout of a number. Her Dolce & Gabbana jacket was covered in multicolored 3D floral appliques creating a striking garden-esque motif. But she had to pay a hefty price for that one-of-a-kind design — $51,500, to be exact.
The jacket hit mid-thigh and featured a silk floral lining.
She balanced out the colorful pattern with a simple knee-length cream jacquard sheath dress and matching pumps.
The neutral tones sprouting a floral pattern created a mother-earth image for the first lady.
Clearly wanting more of this mouthwatering pattern, she opted for the coat’s matching clutch. Dolce & Gabbana’s Miss Dea Lace & Floral Pouchette Clutch is made of suede covered in Chantilly lace, floral appliques, and jewels. A crystal-covered push-lock clasp sits atop the bag. It sold for $1,630.

In total, the extravagant ensemble cost a little less than the median household income in the United States, which is $56,500, according to the Census Bureau.
The Dolce & Gabbana-heavy look is a major statement for FLOTUS after the heat that the brand has taken for supporting her. It’s at least the fourth outfit from the Italian brand that she’s worn on her trip, and Stefano Gabbana, co-founder of the label, is loving it. He’s shared his appreciation on Instagram in numerous posts of Melania Trump in his designs on the couple’s first international tour as president and first lady.
The posts received some negative feedback from anti-Trumpers. The designer noticed some of the unfavorable comments, and in the last few days he’s posted multiple comebacks, including one illustrating where haters should put their opinions. He also pointed out that the #boycottdolce&gabbana movement that had evolved was having little effect, as the brand wasn’t losing any followers.

On Friday, Gabbana posted photos and videos of Trump in the floral coat, thanking her for supporting the brand.
It’s safe to say that she definitely isn’t boycotting Dolce & Gabbana.
