Melania Trump's $2,190 Republican National Convention Dress Is Back in Stock
At the Republican National Convention in July, Melania Trump took the stage in Cleveland, Ohio, wearing a white dress. The piece, designed by U.K.-based designer Roksanda Ilincic, a Serbian native, was a hit. The future first lady reportedly purchased the $2,190 dress because she “liked it,” according to a spokeswoman, and bought it by herself on Net-a-Porter. Quickly after Trump delivered her speech, the dress sold out nearly everywhere on the Internet — and on netaporter.com too.
Now the Margot dress, which the site describes as “a beautiful option for the modern bride” and “crafted from a lustrous blend of ivory cotton and silk,” has been restocked. The piece, designed with a “nipped-in waist and dramatic bell sleeves in a contrasting basketweave,” is available again exclusively on NET-A-PORTER.COM (which it wasn’t in its first selling, having been available on competitors’s sites such as Matches, mytheresa.com, Saks Fifth Avenue, and others).
The style is also available in pink ($1,615) and black ($1,365).
