It’s no wonder Amy Schumer’s been looking so incredible while promoting her just-released romantic comedy, Trainwreck — the person dressing her for the press tour is none other than Narciso Rodriguez!

The comedian and actress, who works with stylist Leesa Evans, has been wearing Rodriguez’s perfectly tailored frocks throughout the worldwide tour, as well as on the cover of Glamour’s August issue. Though we’ve always admired Schumer’s confidence (and hilarity), there’s also certainly something to be said for how beautifully she’s been dressing her bangin’, non-sample size bod of late. She may describe herself as having “a belly and cellulite,” but all we see when we look at these outfits is perfection.

Rodriguez spoke recently with Style.com about his partnership with Schumer. “I’ve never shied away from curves, so it’s not really a departure from my client list,” said the designer, whose fanbase consists of red carpet regulars like Jessica Alba, Salma Hayek, Kate Winslet, Kim Kardashian, and Sandra Bullock. “I don’t really ever stop to think about who I dress and who I don’t dress. I think it’s important to dress all women.”

And it doesn’t hurt that Schumer’s not shy about her self-love. “I think that [her confidence] comes with a great comfort level with herself and a sense of security. You know, my mission is just to create a frame for her personality,” Rodriguez explained.

He added that Schumer — who, by the way, wears only a size 6 — had no reservations about wearing his more fitted designs. “She reacted well to so many of the things that I presented to her,” he told Style. “It was a really nice process.”

The designer says that his favorite moment of the entire tour was when Schumer wore a custom-made stretch leather dress for an appearance on Live with Kelly & Michael. “She really liked [it], and I really enjoyed watching her model it in the fittings,” he explained. “So I guess [my favorite] would have to be that because she really appreciated it and she felt great in it, and that always makes me feel good. […] If you make something for someone and they feel good in it, I think that’s what’s most important. ”

Still, that’s not to say Schumer will no longer be wearing clothes by other labels while promoting Trainwreck. Just last Tuesday at her film’s New York City premiere, she donned a black leather midi dress by designer Dion Lee — which, though chosen by Evans, still managed to fit in nicely with Rodriguez’s famously minimal aesthetic.
