Our 'Sex and the City 3' Fashion Forecast
Yesterday Sarah Jessica Parker tweeted that she and her “Sex and the City” gal pals may be bringing the band back together for a third time on the big screen. While we’d like to see more New York street style than Marrakesh Express boho looks this time around, we’re certain the ladies will take it to the next level. In our fashion version of fantasy football, we've suggested some killer looks for the possible sequel.
Will Gianvito Rossi’s strappy, animal print shoes become Carrie's go-to Manolos? Her 90’s crop tops are still on trend but her clutch – Edie Parker instead of Judith Leiber? – needs an upgrade. We're seeing classic Stan Smiths to balance out her feather-trimmed Simon Rocha dress.
When we last left oversexed Samantha, she was celebrating her 50th. But we don’t think she’s hitting the Eileen Fisher racks anytime soon. We want a Balmain makeover. She may have retired her mini skirts but the French label offers plenty of slashes, cutouts, and plunging necklines for her to choose from. Perhaps she’ll throw in some of Tom Ford’s spring 2015 collection – metallic, flared bottoms, and pasties for good measure.
Working girl Miranda never tires of a Donna Karan power suit, but we think she can update her lawyer looks with some Altuzarra pencil skirts and smart looking Paul Andrew pumps.
Charlotte has always stuck with the classics for her lady who lunches lifestyle. But maybe instead of the Park Avenue friendly Lela Rose outfits, she’ll opt for Dolce & Gabbana’s Sicilian lace or always a winner: Chanel!
