This Pop Star Wore the Wildest Jeans at Coachella
Ryan Destiny is the latest celebrity to prove that pants are optional at Coachella.
The singer and actress attended Day 2 of the festival in not-all-there jeans. They appeared to be missing a leg. The Star star wore one-legged, loose-fitting jeans held up by a black belt at Coachella’s the Hyde Away. Her left leg was completely bare, exposing a black bodysuit that read “Ready For Trumpocalypse.”
These were definitely one of the wildest excuses for pants we’ve seen at Coachella this year. And we’re not even sure you can call them pants, because pants have two legs. This was just a pant.
However, they aren’t the weirdest jeans we’ve ever seen. A few pairs of pants making the rounds lately provide some stiff competition. Kendall Jenner stepped out in Los Angeles on March 31 wearing one of the most questionable denim trends we’ve seen in a while: “invisible jeans.” Attached to the jorts were frayed seams running down the sides of her legs and frayed cuffs around her ankles.
Essentially, she was wearing a pair of jeans with the majority of the legs cut out and only a three-dimensional outline remaining. And the new Vetements x Levi’s line includes a series of denim designs with strategically placed zippers, including at least one pair of jeans that has a zipper running vertically down the backside. Then there were Topshop’s MOTO clear-panel mom jeans — a high-waisted, light-wash pair of denim jeans with clear plastic knee panels. Mother of London, a conceptual bespoke and ready-to-wear fashion brand, then countered Topshop’s ridiculous design with a pair of polar-opposite pants — clear “mom jeans” with denim knee patches.
Ariel Winter and Kylie Jenner have also recently shown penchants for ripped jeans — except these rips are right at the bottom of the butt.
We’re afraid to ask what’s next.
