Sofia Vergara's $3,800 Purse May as Well Have Been Made for Her

Sofia Vergara has one of those bodies and presences that when she slips something on, it looks like it was made specifically for her. But the bag she recently wore might as well have actually been made for her, and not because it no one could wear it better—which is also probably true. The actress was seen leaving lunch in Beverly Hills Monday carrying Gucci’s $3,800 Dionysus GG Supreme Chain Shoulder Bag. What makes it so perfect for the Modern Family star? Well, it’s modernity…so to speak. The bag has the first word of her claim-to-fame’s name embroidered on it: Modern.

A modern bag for a modern woman who is the star of Modern Family.

The letters are in ruby red sequins in a Greek-style font. The large purse features a chain strap and the brand’s signature GG pattern. On top of the traditional pattern, suede aqua lining and pockets give it a punch, as do the pink, yellow and green floral appliques. The loud additions take a traditional Gucci design and make it modern.

She carried the bag in the crook of her arm. Her outfit was much more subdued than the bag that matched her Modern Family character’s personality. She wore gray cargo pants rolled up, a black top and a khaki overcoat. She towered in suede peep-toe Louboutins.

Is the bag a coincidence? Possibly. But to us, it shows her attachment to the ABC sitcom we all love.
