Mulligan was back in black for a reception honoring Suffragette at the home of the British Consulate-General in L.A. on Sunday. But the British actress’s midi LBD was far from basic: At the bottom was a flouncy trumpet-style hem, a trend that has recently made a big return to the red carpet. On her left breast, Mulligan wore a poppy pin in remembrance of soldiers who died in World War I.

For a Suffragette screening in San Rafael, CA during the Mill Valley Film Festival, the actress wore a modified dress from Burberry Prorsum’s Spring 2016 collection. On the runway, the dress was extremely sheer, exposing both the model’s underwear and under-boob. Mulligan’s lined version—which she paired with strappy sandals and casual, center-parted hair—is much more conservative.

Mulligan was all smiles at the premiere of Suffragette in New York City Monday evening, wearing an adorable strapless frock with bow detail from Alexander McQueen’s Resort 2016 collection. She paired it with Jimmy Choo’s velvet Rosana pumps, featuring satin ribbons on the ankles, and bright red lips—doesn’t get much sweeter.

Arriving to a taping of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Mulligan—who recently revealed that she’d welcomed a baby daughter with husband Marcus Mumford just three weeks ago—Mulligan looked radiant in an off-the-shoulder cocktail frock with a sheer floral panel on the skirt by Roland Mouret. She kept her accessories to a minimum, choosing simple black pumps to finish off her outfit.

Mulligan, 30, wore a dusty purple frock from Chanel’s autumn 2015 couture collection to the opening night celebration of the London Film Festival. The ornate dress featured intricate beading details throughout, with delicate, frilly sleeves and a dropped, tutu-style waist. So feminine and lovely.

Streep went for bright cobalt blue on Wednesday evening, wearing a plunging, long-sleeved silk down that highlighted her eye color (when she wasn’t wearing her trademark specs, that is). The twisted detail at the front, along with the color, is almost giving us flashbacks of Kate Middleton’s engagement dress! Streep topped off the look with drop earrings and a metallic box clutch.
