Stella McCartney Takes Seoul with Model Irene Kim
Designer Stella McCartney may originally hale from London, but her clothes are created to suit cool girls the world over.
Korean model Irene Kim is no exception. In this Yahoo Style exclusive, Kim takes us on a fun romp around her hometown of Seoul while wearing her finest Stella attire. “I live in Garusu-gil which is like the Soho area of New York,” explains Kim. “I love it because everything is so close to me. My favorite juice bar, shops, and restaurants are only a couple blocks away.”
Kim epitomizes the modern-day model: With her rainbow hair and affinity for street style and nail art, she’s racked up an Instagram following of 522 thousand. “It’s given me a platform to express myself and give inspiration,” she says, of her impressive social media presence. “I’m just flattered that people find it interesting.”
And despite her already cramped closet, the Stella McCartney die-hard couldn’t resist nicking at least one piece from her Seoul shoot: “I really loved the floor length Fur Free Fur coat,” Kim admits. “I can see myself wrapped up in it this winter!”
It may be boiling right now in New York, but we’d be hard-pressed to resist that cozy-looking coat, ourselves.
