Steve Carell can't stop joking about being a silver fox
Steve Carell is still blushing over the internet's praise for his new look. Last night on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon asked him what it was like being a newly-inducted silver fox. And though he shrugged off the compliments, the actor threw in a joke about being in an imaginary club for handsome, grey-haired men.
"There's a bracelet you get, and mine says 'Steve,'" Carell humorously explained. "It's exciting. And on the other side of the bracelet it says 'Hunk of Man Meat.'"
"You know what? My wife finally said she's in love with me," he quipped about his wife Nancy Carell, whom he's been married to for 22 years. "I'm very excited."
Though he may be a dapperly-dressed heartthrob now, Carell admits his style wasn't so slick in the '80s. The actor confessed he used to be a fan of Girbaud pants-with the high waist, balloon silhouette and all-and there was a point when he wore the same light blue Liz Claiborne windbreaker every day for eight months.
The jacket "had the biggest shoulder pads," he explained. "It was like a dream. Talk about silver fox, my God."
