With the fashion world chattering about &Other Stories opening their first stateside shop in New York last week, we thought we’d introduce you to a few of our other favorite Swedish exports.

Estelle & Thild –This five year old skincare line marries high level science with an organic ethos.

The Bridge – The cult FX show starring Diane Kruger and Demian Bichir started out as a hit series in Scandinavia where crime happened on a bridge between Sweden and Denmark.

Hot Men – Alex Skarsgaard, Joel Kinnaman. Wiry, dirty blond… enough said.

Divas – There’s a lot more than Abba anthems. Singer Lykke Li just came out with her third album of hypnotic ballads and collaborated on a capsule collection for &Other Stories. Rapper legend Neneh Cherry is having a moment again — she recently turned up front row at the Stella McCartney show.

Spotify – Music listening for the future.

Hasbeens – Because like army jackets and skinny jeans, chunky clog boots are perfect casual weekend wear.

Sockerbit –This West Village Scandinavian candy store stocks a lot more than those gummy Swedish fish.
