Taylor Swift Goes Green While Taking Home 'Woman of the Year' at the Elle Style Awards
It’s been a banner year for Taylor Swift. First she taught us to “Shake It Off,” catapulting her fifth studio album, “1989,” to number one. Then she formed an impenetrable alliance with model Karlie Kloss, which evolved into a “Vogue” cover story, and now she has won the ultimate coup de grace as the “Woman of the Year” at the Elle Style Awards in the U.K. For her big evening on Tuesday night in London, the pop icon wore a fresh-off-the-runway green satin and lace gown Julien MacDonald gown. It was an appropriate choice considering that the evening was sponsored by H&M’s Conscious Collection, which is the retailer’s eco-minded wares.
