Teens Invite Elderly Woman to Hang Out Because She Missed Going Out With Her Friends

A group of young women out for a fun night had no idea how happy they’d make an older woman by inviting her to join their squad.

Mahri Smith, 18, was out with pals at a casino in Ottawa, Canada, and, like most young women that age, they started taking pictures of each other in the bathroom.

But while they were snapping away, an elderly woman approached and offered to take their pictures for them.

Charmed by the kind offer, Mahri started chatting with the woman, who told her how she missed going out with her friends.

So, Mahri asked her new friend to hang out with her squad — and pose for a few photos.

The teenager told BuzzFeed: “She was complimenting our clothes like a teenager talking to us.”

“She said, ‘I remember when my girlfriends and I would get dressed up and go out. I miss that’.”

Mahri said she told the woman: “Why miss it — we are all out right now, aren’t we?”

The group then talked to her for a bit before she left them to return to her husband, who was also in the casino.

Mahri added: “It was really nice. She just seemed like the nicest lady.”
