Trevor Noah Got to Take a Selfie With Chrissy Teigen & John Legend
Before a few weeks ago, Trevor Noah’s name was simply known by the Daily Show with Jon Stewart’s loyal fans. Now, set as his successor, he’s made international headlines, amassed Twitter followers, and, as with anyone on the rise, already been embroiled in a public scandal. “I’m keeping everything a surprise,” he told Joe Zee on the red carpet at the Met Gala on Monday. “I want to surprise myself, in fact. I’m giving nothing away. A lot of surprises that you’ll see at the last moments.”

Besides prying eyes, there certainly are perks to a sudden rise in popularity. It means that he’s getting invites into the exclusive world of celebrity, and the South African comedian even got to go to the most exclusive of the exclusive events. Wearing a white tux with black bow tie, he looked chic, and even got to rub shoulders with some of the many famous people on the red carpet with him. “There are 3 people in this picture — 1 is very beautiful, 1 is a Legend and one is loved dearly by their mother,” he wrote in a caption alongside a selfie of him with Chrissy Teigen and John Legend.
Negative attention might come but the perks like selfies with the coolest couple around have got to be worth it.
