Warning: Farrah Abraham's Lip Implantations Are Scary

Just like those smoking ads that show the damaging effects of years of lighting up that scare kids silly, consider this photo of Farrah Abraham a warning. The Teen Mom star shared images from the Emergency Room yesterday following a cosmetic procedure that went awry.

“Girlfriends don’t say I didn’t warn ya ! #BOTCHED California #ER #fixit,” she tweeted. The 23-year-old reportedly received lip implants in place of fillers, according to Us Weekly. Whereas fillers are temporary and have to be maintained over time in order to preserve the plump lip look, implants are a permanent solution unless removed. Abraham believes that she had an allergic reaction to the anesthetic she was given prior to the plastic surgery.

Dr. Anthony Youn, a Michigan-based plastic surgeon, tells Yahoo Style that there are a few possible reasons why Abraham’s lips look this. As she claims, Youn believes that it’s possible she had an allergic reaction. While silicone is non-reactive, multiple medications are used as well as a topical anesthetic. He also believes that just the trauma from an invasive procedure could have her body responding this way because the lips are very reactive (for example, if you get punched in the face, the lips swell up, not the chin or surrounding area).

The reality show personality might look like she has a permanent duck face, but at least she’s taking the screw up in stride. She’s been consistently sharing on social media since the scare. Her lack of fear could be because this isn’t her first time having gone under the knife. She has had two breast enhancement, a nose job, and chin implants.
Youn says that in 24 to 36 hours she should be back to normal. “It’ll be interesting to see what she looks like and starts tweeting out.”
