Welcome to the Fashion Spotlight, Anwar Hadid
It’s a good week to be Anwar Hadid.
The younger brother of catwalk queens Gigi and Bella has debuted his first major fashion campaign for Hugo Boss Menswear (because clearly, fashion runs in the family). Official images from the brand’s Spring 2017 photo shoot have been released, featuring the youngest Hadid in three different, desert-inspired looks: leaning against a tree in a patterned, short-sleeved button-down (above); shielding his eyes from the sun in a white cable-knit sweater; and almost sporting a pompadour in a shot showing off his back-of-the-neck “1999” tattoo. (Yes, the year he was born. Ah, youth.)
This isn’t the first time Anwar has followed in his big sisters’ well-heeled footsteps, however. He signed with the agency that represents them both, IMG, in February. Last summer, he landed the cover of Teen Vogue and made his runway debut alongside Cindy Crawford‘s 16-year-old son, Presley Gerber, at the Moschino Resort show in Los Angeles. But when it comes to entering into the high-profile family business, “I try not to think about anyone’s expectations but rather focus on always doing my personal best,” he told Teen Vogue at the time. “I think our family motto is to always work hard, be humble, kind, and thoughtful about others around us.”
Anwar’s career isn’t the only thing heating up, however. The 17-year-old made things Instagram official with actress Nicola Peltz on Sunday, posting a black-and-white snapshot of the two of them embracing in what appears to be his closet while he holds a bunch of white roses. (Way to be a gentleman, young Hadid.)

Speculation that the two were an item began to circulate recently after Peltz posted a shot of herself sitting on his lap. On Sunday, she addressed the “are they or aren’t they” chatter, telling WWD at the Sundance Film Festival (where she’s been promoting her new television pilot, When the Street Lights Go On) that the two are “hanging out,” before lavishing praise on the model and his famous family.
“Honestly, he is an angel. He’s such an amazing person,” she enthused. “He comes from such an amazing family. Gigi and Bella are so, so sweet. I just love his family so much. They’re feminine, strong girls. To have that around is amazing.”
We should all be so lucky.
