Tom Ford’s Rock-and-Roll Fantasy

What’s not to love about Tom Ford and his glittery rock divas? With hair turned out like Blondie’s Debbie Harry and kohl-smudged lids, Ford’s power women stormed the runway to a pulsing remix of “Addicted to Love” in uberhigh platform wedges, mesh dresses, dangerously high slit skirts (better to show off that thigh-high hosiery), sequin T-shirts, and shimmering bellbottom trousers. For evening, the designer pulled out all of his usual stops, examining the “relationship between fashion and sexuality.” This translated to gowns with strategically placed paneling constructed of tulle and adorned with crystals…for when his ever-expressive rocker babes are looking for something a bit more refined. Worth noting is the introduction of his compact new “camera” bag which fits only the necessary essentials for a big night out. Glamazons unite!
