Beanie Sigel Says His Next Album Will Use Artificial Intelligence To Bring His Old Voice Back
Beanie Sigel has made it known that he’s not opposed to using artificial intelligence (AI) in his music.
After not releasing an album since 2012, the Philly rapper announced during an interview with DJUTV that he has a new album in the works. To bring back how he used to sound in his prime, he shared that he plans to use AI.
“New project coming soon,” Sigel revealed on DJUTV. “I think I found a good friend with this AI thing. A lot of people frown on AI, but I think that’s gonna work out for me.”
He continued, “I had a colorful life, so I’ve been through things that hindered my [voice].”
Sigel went on to double down on his faith in AI and its ability to make him sound like he used to.
“Real soon, too,” he declared. “It’s definitely for me. A lot of people I’ve seen they’ve been frowning upon it and I’m like, ‘How can I use that?’ I was talking to somebody and they told me how you program the AI. You run the vocals through there. So y’all want, what they say, ‘The old Beans back?’ ‘Cause the pen’s still there. It’s just the voice. If y’all want that, I’ma shoot y’all something. So I’m gonna use AI on myself.”
Sigel’s voice changed after being shot twice in his back. The bullets came out of his stomach resulting in a collapsed lung.
“I was in a coma. So when I was coming out of it, I had a breathing tube down my throat,” Sigel explained to VLAD in an interview. “When I first woke up out the coma, I didn’t know where I was at and I pulled the breathing tube out so it tore up sh-t in my throat.”
Sigel recalled that it took him months to be able to speak again.
“It got better, it was worse than this,” he added. “I couldn’t talk at all. Like I could do the actions but nothing would come out.”
