All four Hotel Transylvania movies are on Amazon Prime Video, but the most recent is Transformania, in which the human Johnny (Andy Samberg) enlists the help of Van Helsing (Jim Gaffigan) to turn him into a monster so he can meet Drac’s (Spaceman‘s Adam Sandler) order that only a monster can inherit Hotel Transylvania. But when Drac tries to turn Johnny back into a human using Van Helsing’s “Monsterfication Ray,” the machine goes haywire, turning him into a human. Now in mismatched bodies, Johnny and Drac must travel to the Cave of Reflexion in South America to retrieve a new crystal to fix the machine before the change becomes permanent.

Subsequently, Prince Robert invites Cinderella to attend a royal ball. When the day comes, however, Cinderella’s jealous stepmother stops Cinderella from going so that her own daughters can get preferential treatment. Fortunately, her Fab G (Billy Porter) has the magic and the support to help Cinderella overcome the odds.

This is far from your grandfather’s Pinocchio – the PG-13 remake is beautiful, dramatic, and thoroughly enchanting for older kids and parents who are looking for a movie that the whole family can sit down and enjoy. The classic and familiar beats are here, from the wooden boy trying to become real and a growing nose, but there are also a lot of new story elements to appreciate (some derived from the original 1883 book and excellent performances. Fun fact: Most of the special effects are made with prosthetic makeup instead of CGI!

Mark (Kyle Allen) is coming to terms with his life living the same day over and over again when he finds another teen, Margaret (Lisa Frankenstein star Kathryn Newton) who is experiencing the same event. Love, humor, and mystery all ensue, creating a highly watched teen time-loop romp that’s a great pick if no one knows what to watch.
