The beloved fantasy tale comes to life with Peter Jackson’s Middle-earth mastery — albeit with some Hollywood story liberties. One of the more underrated animated releases of recent years, Megamind is a little like an under-the-radar Despicable Me. For years, he has failed to conquer Metro City, also foiled by the hero, Metro Man (Wolfs star Brad Pitt). But when Megamind finally defeats Metro Man — basically by accident — a new, even more terrifying villain quickly descends upon the city now that the hero has been vanquished. Suddenly, Megamind finds himself in a strange position… does he actually want to be the hero?
