The best deal in streaming has returned. Last year, Disney+ launched a promo that allowed subscribers to sign up for its subscription for just $1.99/mo, and Disney has now brought the discount back. The plan is available to new and returning subscribers, and the promo ends on Sept. 27. It’s the kind of discount typically reserved for students.

Here’s what you need to know about the ultimate streaming sale of the year before shows and movies like Agatha All Along and Inside Out 2 hit the streaming service.
What’s the Best Disney+ Deal?
Right now, new subscribers can get Disney+ for $1.99/mo for their first three months. Disney is likely looking to entice new subscribers before it raises prices; the $7.99/mo subscription is set to jump to $9.99/mo on Oct. 17.
The $1.99/mo deal applies to both the Disney+ Basic (With Ads) and Disney+ Premium (No Ads). After your 3-month trial is up, you’ll be charged the new standard rate, which will be $9.99 and $15.99, respectively.
The discount ends on Sept. 27, so if you’re looking to save before the price increase, now’s the time to sign up.
Verizon Disney+ Deal
This deal isn’t the only way to save on Disney+. Verizon customers who have specific Unlimited plans can score a subscription to the streaming service. Verizon currently offers an add-on promo that includes Disney+ with Hulu and ESPN+, free for six months. The deal is available to Verizon users with the Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plan.
Another great way to save on Disney+ is to sign up for one of its bundles. Disney+ has a number of bundles to choose from, and it can be worth signing up for given the recent dispute between Disney and DirecTV.
Best Disney+ Bundles
Disney+ has three distinct bundles to choose from, each with an ad-supported and premium ad-free tier. These bundles are a great way to save big on subscriptions you may already be paying for. The Duo bundle includes Disney+ and Hulu, and the Trio bundle adds ESPN+ to the mix. You can also choose the Disney+, Hulu, and Max bundle.
The Duo Basic is set to increase from $9.99 to $10.99, while the Trio Basic bundle is set to go up by two bucks, to $16.99. Given that Disney+ alone is set to cost $9.99, these bundles represent a great value compared to a la carte subscriptions. Savvy streamers can sign up for the $1.99 Disney+ deal, and then switch to a bundle once the three-month period is up.
Is A Disney+ Bundle Worth It?
An ad-free subscription to Hulu costs $17.99 on its own, making this triple play a no-brainer for any fan of the popular streaming service. Along with Verizon’s offer, we think it’s one of the best streaming deals, period. (For comparison, a single monthly ad-free Netflix subscription costs $15.49.)
You’ll also get instant access to thousands of movies and TV shows on Hulu, including Hulu Originals like The Veil and Only Murders in the Building. Hulu is also home to a number of comedy specials and reality TV shows.
ESPN+, meantime, is your best bet for exclusive commentary, analysis, and coverage of all the major sports leagues and franchises. Stream live sporting events (like the UFC), and get access to ESPN’s extensive archive of past events that you can re-watch on demand.
Alternatively, the Max bundle is a great way to save on the best of HBO, Discovery, CNN, Food Network, and much more.
