NetEase releases gaming limits for children for upcoming holidays

BEIJING (Reuters) - NetEase Games on Monday released specific dates and time slots during which Chinese children will be permitted to play its video games during the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays.

Children will not be allowed to access its games on Sept. 14, 29 and Oct. 12, the company said in a statement.

China in 2021 introduced rules that limit the amount of time those under 18 can play video games, a move it said was to combat gaming addiction.
