Netflix has announced the launch of Moments, a new feature making it easy for members to bookmark, save, and share favorite scenes from shows and movies on the streamer. It starts rolling out to members globally today in a bid to boost engagement and, likely, compete with YouTube.

Moments was designed to help fans relive iconic moments and discover new favorites. Members can save key scenes and share them with friends, providing new ways to connect over the stories they love.

“Ever find yourself hooked on a Netflix scene that sticks with you long after it’s over? Now, with Moments — a new mobile feature launching globally today on iOS and in the coming weeks on Android — you can easily save, relive, and share your favorite Netflix scenes,” Netflix said in a post on its Tudum blog. “Whether you’re replaying the intense final showdown in BEEF or a spooky twist in Wednesday, Moments lets you save and share it all. And with Season 2 of Squid Games coming on Dec. 26, it’s the perfect time to revisit those nail-biting game sequences from Season 1 and get ready for what’s next.”

Subscribers can save the clips using a moments button at the bottom of the screen, rewatch them any time and share them across Instagram, Facebook and other social platforms.

“You can share a Moment as you create it or, from the My Netflix tab, you can select a scene and tap to share it across all of your platforms,” Netflix says. “If you rewatch the episode or film, it will start playing right from the scene you bookmarked.”

The roll-out of Moments coincides with a new Netflix global brand campaign called “It’s So Good” featuring some of “the most beloved and memorable moments that have captivated fans worldwide — including Cardi B, Simone Biles, and Giancarlo Esposito.”

The streamer plans to expand the feature in the future.
