2024 has seen Nike’s SB skateboarding brand release collaborations with legendary graffiti artist Futura, Japanese designer Verdy and even an upcoming officially licensed “The Wizard of Oz” project. And through work with Olympic gold medalist Yuto Horigome as well as pro skaters Rayssa Leal, Alexis Sablone and Hayley Williams, the brand is remaining firmly in its roots. Another soon-to-be-released style that reaffirms the label’s aura in the skate community is a collaboration with France’s Riot Skateshop.

The Riot Skateshop x Nike SB Dunk Low is set to release in spring 2025, and new in-hand images give a clear picture of what to expect upon the pair’s arrival. Seemingly using Riot Skateshop’s Bordeaux locale as inspiration, the wine-inspired pair blends burgundy shades — “Mahogany/Dark Beetroot/Team Red/Sail/Night Maroon” to be specific — across rich suede and nubuck materials.

Details are abound yet subtle; the tongue badge mimics the wax sealing of a wine bottle, the reflective Swoosh features a glossy border and Riot Skateshop’s dog logo is embroidered near the heel. Further callbacks to the fermented beverage include a cork insole and a translucent outsole with grape graphics.

Founded in 2004, Riot Skateshop is the only Nike SB stockist in Bordeaux. In total, France boasts 17 Nike SB doors, five of which are densely clustered in Paris.

In addition to the aforementioned “The Wizard of Oz” and Hayley Williams collaborations, other upcoming Nike SB releases of note include a Seattle Supersonics-inspired Dunk Low style and SB versions of the classic Nike Air Force 1 and Air Max 95 sneakers.

With a SKU of FZ1289-200 and an expected retail price of $135, readers can expect the Riot Skateshop x Nike SB Dunk Low to arrive during spring ’25. Neither Riot Skateshop nor Nike SB have publicly confirmed the collab yet, but details should be formally announced soon.
