Smart TV Savings: How To Find A TV For Under $100

While many everyday items have seemingly gotten more expensive, picking up a new TV isn’t the same wallet-busting (and back-breaking) affair that it once was. TVs have not only gotten bigger, thinner, and more high-definition, but they’ve also gotten cheaper. There’s still a strong case for buying a top-of-the-line option, like Samsung’s stylish Frame TV, which will elevate your living space and your viewing experience. But if you need another TV for a spare bedroom or something to watch your favorite TV shows in your dorm or first apartment, a smart TV can run you as little as $100, and in some cases even less.

Of course, a sub-$100 TV does come with some trade-offs. Most TVs in this price range will be 32″ or less, and they may have 720p resolution, rather than Full HD 1080p. You’ll also be hard-pressed to find a 4K TV at this price. While 720p is the lowest commonly available resolution for a modern TV, on a smaller TV placed in the kitchen or a spare bedroom, you may not notice the difference. With a larger TV, a lower resolution becomes more obvious.
Whether you’re shopping for an affordable TV for a dorm or bedroom, or you’re just not particularly interested in having the biggest, most high-def TV on the market, consider one of these under-$100 TVs.
