When is the Walmart Holiday Deals 2024 event?
Walmart Holiday Deals begins on Tuesday, October 8 at noon EST for those shopping online, and runs through Sunday, October 13 at 11:59 pm EST. Walmart+ members get early access on Tuesday, October 8 starting at midnight EST.
If you like to touch, feel and see the products in person, visit your local Walmart store location to snag deals starting as early as Wednesday, October 9 at 6 am local time.
As with any sale, the hottest, most in-demand items will, of course, sell out first. So you’ll want to hop right onto the website or into your local Walmart store as soon as the sale begins so you don’t miss out. Heck, even set an alarm on your phone or smartwatch as a reminder. Walmart has sale items 24/7/365 as well and we have rounded up a few early ones to check out if you’re an eager beaver (just keep scrolling).
What is the Walmart Holiday Deals event?
Walmart has held its own fall sale event to compete with Amazon's October Prime Day for the last several years. Walmart's Holiday Deals event will give shoppers access to some of the biggest discounts of the year across all kinds of categories including vacuums, big-screen smart TVs, home and kitchen appliances, furniture and tech gear. Unlike Amazon Prime Day, however, Walmart's Holiday Deals event is open to all shoppers, not just those with a paid Walmart+ membership. The main perk for Walmart+ members is early access to the deals.
How do I become a Walmart+ member?

Other perks of Walmart+ include free shipping on every purchase, complimentary grocery delivery, and extra savings on things like gas and prescriptions.

The best Walmart sales to shop ahead of Holiday Deals 2024

Want an easy way to see the temperature and humidity in a room? This little ThermoPro unit runs for more than 18 months on a single AAA battery, and doesn’t need any Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connections — it just works and has a magnetic back for popping onto the fridge, too.
Plug this baby into the HDMI port of any TV and unlock the intuitive Roku interface for accessing streaming content, including live channels and a host of Roku originals. A perfect stocking stuffer, save a fiver off the price now. Dorm residents will especially love Headphone mode for private listening while not disturbing their roommate.
When it comes to computer mice, there’s arguably no brand better than Logitech. This one connects via Bluetooth — it even works with iPads — or lets you use the included USB wireless dongle as an alternative. The best part, aside from smooth scrolling, is up to 24 months of battery life from a single AA battery.
A cool $50 off is music to anyone’s ears for a solid portable speaker that offers pumping bass for your indoor or even outdoor use. It’s water-resistant (it can even take a plunge), has a cool light show option and runs for up to 12 hours per charge. Did someone say party?
If you're only using your TV speakers, you're probably missing out on the full home entertainment experience. TVs tend to broadcast sound from the back, so not only are you getting reflected audio, but it's just not as full as it could be. This Topvision soundbar is the solution you didn't know you were looking for. It truly creates a 3D soundscape that makes you feel like you're in the middle of the action.
Gifting for a Star Wars-crazed kid — or adult? True fans will appreciate this little-seen — but very cool — Imperial vehicle, which includes a Darth Vader figure for extra menace.
This is the older AirPods model (with Lightning charging case), but for anyone with an Apple device, including younger kids or just someone who prefers this old-school look and feel, this deal may be too good to pass up.
Save over $100 on this Nest smart thermostat, which learns your home and away schedule to help you save on energy costs. We also like its high-res digital display, sleek design and the fact that you can adjust your home's temperature from anywhere via its companion app.
Level up your listening game with the latest version of the Apple AirPods Pro 2 wireless buds for $59 off the Apple Store price. This model remains the industry standard for noise-canceling and transparency (listening to music while still being able to hear the outside world) and it’s even getting a software update to double as a full-on hearing aid later this fall.
This smart set features 4K UHD resolution, so you can enjoy every teeny-tiny pixel in perfect definition, along with enhanced contrast and accurate colors courtesy of Dolby Vision. Google TV is included to make streaming your favorite movies, shows and more a breeze, and gamers will especially enjoy the Auto Game Mode for lowest possible input lag and latency, which means tip-top performance. Plus, a 50" TV for under $200?? You can't beat that.
While it’s a couple of generations old, this M1 version of the MacBook Air still delivers Apple Silicon power and long-lasting battery life. It’s ideal for everyone from students to work-from-homers and it's light enough to carry around with you on the go.
