What to expect at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024
In brief, we're expecting to see two new foldable phones unveiled at this month's Unpacked showcase, as well as new Galaxy watches, the Galaxy Ring and potentially some new Galaxy Buds.
As rumors go, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are tipped to be iterative updates over their respective predecessors. Both models are expected to get the super fast Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, as well as the AI-powered photography features of the Galaxy S24 Ultra and some minor design changes.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6, specifically, could get a slightly larger cover screen, while the Galaxy Z Flip 6 gets some small upgrades to the appearance its rear cameras.
Regarding the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra, we're expecting a new Exynos W1000 chipset for both models, more base storage for the Watch 7, and battery and display size increases for the Watch Ultra.
The Galaxy Ring could well be the star of this month's Unpacked event, what with Samsung having already teased the long-awaited health-tracking device at its Galaxy S24 launch event in January. Several features have already been leaked for the Galaxy Ring, including heart rate monitoring, stress tracking, period prediction and skin temperature reading, so we're excited to see the much-hyped wearable in action.
We're fairly certain that Samsung will also debut some earbuds at Galaxy Unpacked 2024, specifically the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. These new cans are expected to boast several upgrades over the previous model, including sound upgrades, smarter ANC, 'blade lights', and AirPods Pro-like stems.
